24mm SynBad™ Bulb Synthetic Knot

I have a 22mm that I use for my face and this 24mm fits my head shave perfectly. Lather and moisture retention is second to none. Such a soft yet firm enough knot to be very comfortable and feel like it's working. And no lost fibers that I have ever noticed out of all five of my synthetic AP knots. (I was a die hard Badger and Boar user until I was introduced to AP synthetics) Exceptional quality! Exceptional performance! Exceptional customer service! Won't be looking for knots anywhere else. Very impressed in all aspects of my experience with AP.

I have come to absolutely love the Synbad knot and I have found the best ones come from AP Shave Co.. I have 26mm bulb and fan Synbad's, as well as the 24mm bulb knots. AP Shave Co.'s service and product are unbeatable and the Synbad knot is the best I have ever used and I have used them all. I much prefer the Synbad over any Badger or Boar knot made.

The Synbad knot has some of the softest tips of any synthetic I’ve used. It’s a near perfect combination of softness and backbone, with excellent splay when set at normal depths in a handle (slightly below the glue base). For more backbone and scrum, setting the knot around 5mm lower works well. The bulb of the fibers are uniform and symmetrical, with a beautiful brown base transitioning to a soft white tip, which resembles a two-band badger. It’s the only synthetic I’ve found that gives a closer true appearance to a two- band badger. It works great for face lathering soap and creams, has good water retention, has good flow through, and builds a thick lather with an economy of product. It’s overall an excellent product.
