Penny Shaver Single Blade Cartridges

I have a lot of razors and I bought this one because like the One Blade razors it combines a pivoting head with a single blade (a cartridge unlike the One Blade). It has become a favourite because it’s easy to use (the pivoting head) and the blade is really sharp. The only downside is the non-recyclability of the cartridges and the fact that additional cartridges are individually wrapped, which appears wasteful. But this shouldn’t detract too much from the fact that this is a great razor and provides a safe and enjoyable shaving experience.

Price is great but that is a out it. I do like how it fits on the Gillette F5 handle. It glides well even without any lubrication strips. With one blade and the large gap beneath it does not clog. However the blade gave me so many nicks. After that experience I stopped using it. I got less nicks with my safety razor and that is saying something as I don't have the technique down or patience to shave with a safety razor. I think it is a great concept and maybe a lot of it was user error.

Just okay. I thought this would be great compared to the 5 blade alternative. The head pivots easily but it was harder to get the angle correct. I had to use a little more pressure.

I have sensitive skin, shave daily using a brush and shaving soap and have been a Gillette multi-blade razor user for many years. I decided on a whim to give Penny Shaver a try. Frankly I wasn’t optimistic as I have also tried Schick, Harry’s, Costco, etc. but razor irritation has always plagued me. I’ve been using the Penny Shaver for a few weeks now and I must say I’m very pleased. My skin irritation has subsided and I’m getting a surprisingly close shave. My face thanks you Penny Shaver!!!

I found a little treasure. It's the cartridge I've been looking for. I have many classic razors. But this cartridge is attractive enough. Our wet shaving club members are also very interested. It feels good to use and is very satisfying.^^
