Handcrafted Series: The Story Behind It

This project has been something I have always wanted to do since starting the company. What I've done is sourced the highest quality resin possible used by the most popular brush makers in the industry and leveraged my buying power to bring them in at an affordable price point. Each handle features premium resin from the United Kingdom. Affordable luxury was a top priority with this line and I have been able to price them at x2-3 lower than the competition by committing to a high volume of handles over a period of time with a trusted handle production partner. The story of how each handle is crafted is below.
Each Handle Begins with a CNC Lathe
Each handles initial shape starts out with some time on the CNC lathe. It's basically the shape's first draft. The surface of the handle is extremely coarse and subject to lots of lines/machine marks/etc.
Each Handle is then sculpted by hand.
Once the initial shape is completed, each handle gets sculpted by hand, one by one, by a professional craftsman. The handle becomes much more smooth in terms of shape but the material itself is of course still coarse.

This is where the magic starts to happens. The multi-layer beauty of the resin really starts to pop once each handle is buffed, one by one. The surface becomes much more smooth and the process really brings the brush to life.
Each Handle is then polished by hand.
The finishing touches and attention to detail are key. This resin is beautiful and it's important to show it! Each handle is polished, one by one, by hand. It's a tedious process, but one that needs to be done in order to give these handles that wow factor.
