The "Titanium" knot is a part of the "UK Fibre Supplier" line.
These fibres are from the company that has been supplying the world's oldest shaving brushes (est. 1919) from the UK with both badger & synthetic fibres for 40+ years now.
The name is very much a nod to fibres used in their "premium" line of synthetics, as the fibres come from the very same source.
These fibres are known for having ultra soft tips and superior backbone. This knot behaves fairly similar to those of the "G5" line, although I'd consider the backbone of these tapered fibres even stronger than the G5 line. Definitely a must try!
Top-shelf synthetics are a world of their own, with a whole range of qualities that are in many ways more interesting than natural fibres, with the added bonus that you don't have to break them in, and they don't need any special maintenance. I have two G5C fan knots, a G5A and a G5B (all 28mm) and I love them all, so I jumped on this one as soon as I saw it. Seriously, I was not expecting it to be as good as the G5C, but it turns out I like it just as much. It's denser, and therefore has more backbone, and it's a superb lather monster. For anyone who is serious about premium synthetics, this one is a must-have, along with the G5C.
