I don't see a single scratch, chip, or dent on this handle. It's absolutely beautiful. The brush it's apart of is the coolest looking one out of the bunch.

I find that badger brushes hold a lot of lather yet not much scrub. Boar brushes have a great scrub yet not a lot of capacity for lather. This brush is the closest to being perfect of both attributes. Amazing knot, easy to use, lathers up every soap that I have used it on with no issues. Surely one of my top 5 favorite knots. Probably my favorite. Worth the money and would recommend this knot without hesitation.

I purchased the sailing ship handle because I felt it would add a little something to my vintage Old Spice collection/shave den. I set it with my own badger knot and have used it a number of times now. The handle fits well in my hand and it makes a great shaving brush.

Quite simply it's quickly become my favourite brush. I've had brushes made to my requirements before, notably from Simpson but this one I couldn't have done a better job if I'd specified it myself. Usually a bowl latherer, this is just as good for face lathering. Easy and effective, with great feel. A great price and excellent service too.

I purchased this knot in 2018, back when it was a new product. I have only a small rotation of brushes, and this knot has never been bumped from regular use. The performance of the SilkSmoke is top tier and - amazing to me - it seems to be getting better over time. The backbone and overall integrity of the knot have remained as strong as ever after at least 700 shaves, but I'm just starting to notice that the very tips of the fibers (perhaps the top 1/16 of an inch) are wearing thin and bending very slightly. This is a really good thing. This fiber-tip wearing results in an even softer cheek-scrub and (I suspect) even better lather production than when it was new. I've used (and loved) the G5A and the G5C from Andrew's lineup, but this 28mm SilkSmoke remains one of my favorites. After at least 700 shaves with this knot, I do not hesitate to offer my strongest recommendation for it.
